Mint & Yuzu Julep

A Southern classic gets a citrusy twist. The julep has long been a refreshing favourite, especially on hot afternoons, and here we’ve added a bright pop of flavour with our Yuzu & Mandarin Seltz Drops. The result is a crisp, fragrant cocktail that balances bourbon’s warmth with cool mint and a zing of citrus.

Ingredients

• 60ml bourbon
• 15ml Simple Sugar Syrup
• 6 drops Yuzu & Mandarin Seltz Drops
• 10 fresh mint leaves
• Crushed ice
• Sprig of mint, to garnish

Method

1. Lightly muddle the mint leaves in a sturdy glass or julep cup with the Simple Sugar Syrup. You want to release the oils without breaking the leaves apart too much.
2. Add the bourbon and Yuzu & Mandarin Seltz Drops.
3. Fill the glass with crushed ice and stir gently.
4. Top with more crushed ice.
5. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
